Every gearhead’s best dream! For context, my parents just renovated their house and have gone on an artwork/sculpture spending spree. Apparently, my model car collection has been a huge hit with visitors!
Anyway, here are the 6 cars about to join the garage:

Aghhhhhhh I want an AutoArt
I bought a cheap thing today (Maisto, 1:18 Aventador Roadster)
Literally taking it home now. Will post pics later. It seems pretty good quality
I spent 99 bucks on a Paragon BMW 335i 1:18 around two weeks ago.
But two cars in two weeks is nothing to what you just bought!

I have a few Maisto’s in the collection (SLR, Z4, Cayenne, Maserati, Viper, Gallardo, DB7).
Their exteriors are actually pretty spot-on; tight panel gaps, realistic headlights, etc. Their interiors don’t have the fuzzy stuff you find in some more premium models, but you’d only notice that if you’re inspecting it up close (which nobody does b/c I put them in a display case).
Besides, AUTOart’s Aventador is $205 goddam dollars Even with someone else paying the bill I wasn’t prepared to spend that much on a single model. I guess it could be worse: they want $350 for the Huayra .

I actually don’t think I’ve ever seen a red BRZ in real life. Only white, silver and WRB. Everyone in Pittsburgh (college) had FR-S’s, and everyone in Connecticut (home) wouldn’t be seen dead in a sub-$50,000 car.
I also have yet to see a BRZ painted in Galaxy Blue Silica. It looks fantastic on the WRX, but first-time Subi buyers always get World Rally Blue (like I did with my WRX).

I love that the 928 has houndstooth checkered seats and brown metallic paint. So appropriate of the late 70’s!

Yup. In my opinion, my $90 Paragon BMW 335i still doesn’t beat my $85 Kyosho 330i. The leather on the 335 is less realistic (more plasticky), wheels don’t turn as easily, hinges are a bit squeaky... Still a nice model though.

Saying I am envious is an understatement - congrats though! $600 is the amount I’m hesitant to drop on a Tamiya RC model and all the supporting upgrades for it, that I’ve been eyeing for a year. :/

In all seriousness, you lucky guy, you have great taste in diecast. Let me know if you are interested in authorship on live and let diecast. We would love to see some reviews of these wonderful cars.

Is that 335 an E90 or 91? If 90, where is it on sale? I need one to match my 1:1... Also, would you like authorship on live and let diecast? We’d love to see more pics of that aventador as well as your BMWs.

By the way, I think you are looking for the 330i (Kyosho). That is an E90.
The 335i model I have is an F30 (I know that they made an E90 335 though)
Bought both to complement the 1:1 ones.
